What is virtual Council?
The Illuman Way of Council is one of our essential teachings and the way men connected to Illuman of Illinois often gather and interact. That said, perhaps it is difficult for you to find a council meeting in your area or you just haven’t been able to find the time. If this is the case, our Virtual Council may be a good fit for you. Our Virtual Council uses Zoom to gather men from anywhere they happen to be at the time of a virtual meeting.
They are designed as an opportunity to connect and a practice that helps men begin to find their true voice in the presence of other men on their journey of personal growth. These Virtual Councils aren’t meant to be a replacement for gathering face-to-face, but rather a supplement. It is an amazing gift to have the opportunity to connect with men around the world, in addition to the other times with local brothers. Councils are conducted in much the same manner as in-person Councils: with grounded time in quiet contemplation, reflective readings or poetry, and deepening our connections with open-ended prompts.
