This weekend conference/retreat provides a gentle introduction to the spiritual teachings of the 16th century Spanish Carmelite mystic St. John of the Cross. An emphasis will be given to how St. John of Cross guides us through the dark night of the soul in which we come to a profound experience of God’s oneness with us in all things. This retreat is intended for sincere beginners as well as those more experienced in the practice of contemplative prayer. Time will be provided for periods of silent meditation, personal reflection and discussion of the themes presented.
